Do Trac-Rite doors come with a warranty?
Trac-Rite Door offers a 40/30-year limited warranty (some exceptions apply) on paint finish which includes a guarantee against chalking, fading and rusting. Materials are covered by a three-year limited warranty. EP3 springs are guaranteed for 10 years to the original purchaser.

What colors are available?
Trac-Rite doors are available in eleven durable, prefinished colors to complement any building. Paint has a standard baked on siliconized polyester finish for long life.

Which Trac-Rite door is best for my application?
The suggested applications for a 944 or 944WL Door include apartment/condo storage locker doors, boat houses, carousels, cattle/horse barns, counter shutters, detached garages, sheds, park shelters, roll-up interior partition dividers, school equipment sheds, security doors, self storage facilities, small span structures, utility sheds, and yard barns.

The suggested applications for a 955 or 955WL Door include auto body shops, boat houses, car washes, cold storage, dock doors, high eave structures with relatively low door heights, machine shops, roll-up interior partition dividers, post frame buildings, sheds, and warehousing applications.

The suggested applications for a 988 or 988WL Door include shipping docks, warehouses, post-frame buildings, auto body and machine shops, agriculture buildings, and high eave structures.  The 988 is ideal for interior large door openings, while the 988WL is best suited for exterior large openings.

What size door should I order?
The door size will be determined based on your needs (actual framed opening and the clearances behind that opening). All doors should be ordered based on your framed opening size. For example, if your framed opening is 7' 6" wide and 8' 0" high, you would order a 7' 6" x 8' 0" door (width first, height second).

Is there a minimum space requirement to mount the door?
Yes. However, very little head room, back room, or side jamb is needed due to the roll-up design. This is beneficial when mounting on high eave structures or when adequate backspace is limited. Since there are no tracks protruding into the opening, the door nest coils up conveniently above the header and allows for more shelf and storage space.

Steel or wood clearances often differ from masonry minimum mounting surface areas. For specific minimum space requirements, visit determine your needs

What optional features are available?
Trac-Rite offers a full line of accessories including jamb brush seal, header draft stop, SpaceGuard exterior latch, SpaceGuard cylinder lock, hood, insulation, interior lock, narrow jamb bracket plate, and motor operators.

When will my door(s) arrive?
All Trac-Rite doors are made to order based on your quantity, size and color. Quantity will determine the amount of time it takes to ship your door(s), which can range from three to four weeks. Lead times vary throughout the year and larger orders typically take longer. Need it fast? "QuickShip" is available for Model 944. A small fee is applied when choosing this accelerated delivery option.

What type of maintenance is required?
Very little maintenance is required to keep your Trac-Rite doors looking new and running smoothly. The doors never have to be painted due to the baked-on paint system. The door curtain is 26-gauge Grade 80 galvanized steel. The bottom assembly, stainless steel bolts, and EP3 springs make the doors rust resistant. A little lubricant every six months on the locks and polypropylene guide runners is recommended. Back To Top
